BTS Compilation #2 formation

Formation

As can we see in their first BTS reality “Rookie King” where we are introduced to Bangtan Sonyeondan and their routine, we can see closer the members, especially, Min Yoongi (Suga) and Kim Namjoon (Rap Monster) and how they already write their letters songs and have interesting in produced themselves. As they was being part of the whole creative process of bangtan boys project, they inspired the other members to do the same and always put themselves in a position of leading figure of their history and work, that’s a point that differences BTS of others groups around the world, usually, especially in South Korea, the agency have a team to compose the letters and make the choreography especially for the group, but with bangtan boys we have a different dynamic.

Kim Namjoon is the band leader and was the first member of BTS, also known as Rap Monster (RM)... now he preferer to explain his band name RM as the REAL ME… he is from Ilsan and is known in BTS as band rapper and starts rapping while he was already at school in the sixth grade after listened to Epik High’s “Fly”, when he was in middle school and was part of Daenamhyup rap crew, he used to release news and originals songs as a solo rapper and start his auditions for hip hop agencies until be part of Big Hit Entertainment. In 2010 RM became a BTS member.

Jeon Jeonggunk is BTS lead singer and also known as Jungkook, his band name. He’s the youngest member, which makes him Bangtan Boys’s Golden Maknae, but not only because of this, he is really good at everything he does and I have proves, maybe this can be a theme for another article… Kookie was discovered in an audition for the third season of Superstar K in Busan, his hometown, which he didn't pass but the show was enough exposure for him to be scouted by some great agencies including JYP Entertainment… In the end he chose Big Hit Entertainment to become a trainee, later he revealed that Namjoon really impressed him with his rapping and wanted to work with him, anyways RM was the reason for him choosing Big Hit and being part of BTS.

V, whose name is Kim Taehyung, is from Daegu where he’s parents are farmers, he already had a connection with music playing saxophone in high school. Soon after, he accompanied a friend to an audition at Big Hit Entertainment in Daegu, he didn’t intend to audition himself and only wanted to encourage his friend at his…  but a staff audition member saw him and encouraged him to participate, after received his father permission, V became the only from Daegu that make into the next phase in that day, later, as we now he became BTS’s vocalist.

Min Yoongi, also known as Suga, stated rapper at high school under the name Gloss and didn't take tooooo long for he make a name for himself as a rapper and a producer (something that he really love) at the time he was known for composing beats and producing for local artist from his hometown, Daegu. A time later, he started producing tracks for artists more well known as Reflow, who worked with him on his song “Who Am I”. Yoongi auditioned for Big Hit after seeing their rap competition called “Hit It”, after all, he did take second place, but that was enough for Big Hit to sign him as a producer and a treinee, he became a rapper in BTS, besides his main plan was only to become a producer. Now we also know Suga as Agust D, his name as rapper solo.

Jin, whose full name is Kim Seokjin, was the fourth member of join BTS, he already was scouted by other agency while he was walking on the street of his hometown, Gwacheon, but did not follow the company, after sometime he was scouted again, while he was at actor college, but now was Big Hit Entertainment that saw Jin at street and convinced him to make an audition. He wanted to be an actor and didn't have singing or dancing experience, so he auditioned for actor spots, however, Big Hit made him a trainee for BTS, and later he became one of the band’s vocals.

Park Jimin, also known only as Jimin, was a student at the Busan High School of Arts, where he studied under the Department of Dance, a dance teacher, impressed by Jimin’s talent and encouraged him to audition for Big Hit Entertainment. After he passed the audition in his hometown in Busan, Jimin went to Seoul, where he became a trainee and later one of the best dancers of BTS and band vocals.

Jung Hoseok, is more known as J-Hope, his band name. Before BTS he was very known as a dancer and started in the dance crew called Neuron in his hometown, Gwangju. He first auditioned for JYP Entertainment, but in the end, he was cut, later he auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment, because of his great dance skills, his sense of rhythm and potential as a rapper, Big Hit signed him as a trainee. Jung Hoeseok debut as a BTS member almost didn’t happen, while he was a trainee, J-Hope and Big Hit parted ways until RM convinced them both that BTS needed a member like J-Hope. After that, became one of BTS’s three rappers, alongside RM and Suga.

At first, Big Hit wanted to make a Hip Hop group, but seeing the boys and combining them, probably made the company see that all them together worked out better… Because of their individual talent and the agency freedom they are always working with their support team in the constructions of albuns, choreographies, song letters and visual, the mainly work of them where we can see that they are always thinking carefully in the message they are going to transmit and how they can relate all the pieces of their previous works is at “Wings” in this era we can clearly see that they have a plan and it was a bridge from the era they were since they debut  into a new one.

Through their letters and especially their MVs they were giving us clues that they have a history to tell us, and that they think a lot about it, recentilly, we have the new album BE with amazing singles that we can relate with their previous works and how they history line lead them to this moment, once again, making sure that what  they say and show us doesn't get lost.

The next post I am going to remember a little about their work history line and why everyone in every part of the world relates with their songs independent of the language.
